Y'all are like me and my husband, in reverse. Last time I took him out he shouted "Oh yeah, now I remember why I hate Discovery Park!" in the middle of our walk. lol.
And yeah, I know, crows are smart, but also they destroy the lawn and are generally very creepy. I maintain my ruling that they, pigeons, and seagulls are all trash birds
Mattresses are dreamy as are toilets. I grew up going to museums, not mountains, but I did a crash course living on a dude ranch in my early 20s where I learned that sweet peace of being in a space that goes on without regard for fashion or technology or with animals who hold no judgement. Also, Madronas are so cool!
Luckily, mountains are kind of self-selecting in terms of how many people use them. Some are easy and lots of people use them, and some are difficult and very few people use them. I tend toward the latter: on yesterday’s hike, I saw 3 other people (across a 13 mile hike).
I relate to your post 100,000 percent!
thanks, Jeannette!

I swear we need some kind of platonic matchmaking service for the spouses we don't want to go on vacation with
Oh yeah! Nature is magic ❤️
I'll trust your expertise on that 😉
my theory is that every day we all inch closer to becoming birders. also crows would like a word...
lol, is birding just a sign we're getting older?

right? Maybe they are a gateway tree (like a gateway drug, but more wholesome)?
Your description of hiking with your husband is hilarious and I can totally picture it.
Thanks, Mikaela!
As an indoor person, I hear you! Those trees all look alike. Like you, I’m enjoying the outdoors in new ways. Thanks for this!
Why she said dryly
🙂
Right? Love her response!
‘Bout time! 😀
watch out, soon you'll have to share all those mountain peaks!
