I’ve taken a few courses with Erin at https://embodimentmatters.com and her whole vibe is cultivating inner kindness. It has been a huge shift in my life and meditation practice!!🩷🩷
I have found it a steep learning curve to even identify my needs. Mostly through burnout I have been forced to recognise limits etc. There are so many well described insights here. Boundaries have been a major way I'm learning to honour my limits, self awareness too. Asking for help and admitting I have needs are things I want to work on it seems to take a lot of time to build that trust with others
I definitely relate! It takes time to learn to listen to our bodies and emotions after years of tuning them out. It's a process that takes time and practice.
Thanks for this reminder. I've been practicing "radical self-care" for the past few years, basically out of necessity - learning to honor others as well as myself. I just got Dr. Chanequa Walker-Barnes' new book in the mail yesterday: "Sacred Self-Care." Looking forward to learning some new tools!
My inner loving parent has brought me so much healing too.
that's awesome. Are you using any books or other resources to work on connecting with your inner loving parent?

Nope, however there are things best done byself and those that belong to "theteam". By allowing myself those that may not become a passing fancy.
